Beginning in late 2024, Doorway will include lottery functionality, expanding the ways Bloom helps make affordable housing more accessible to housing seekers.
Bridging the Gap: Connecting Communities to Affordable Homes
In May 2024, Exygy hosted a panel on Berkeley’s displacement-focused housing preferences, implemented through Bloom Housing's digital portal. The policy prioritizes vulnerable households based on historical and socio-economic factors like eviction and redlining. Developed with Healthy Black Families, it aims to address systemic issues and ensure fair access to affordable housing. The panel discussed challenges, lease-up coordination, and plans for future improvements.
